Auto-Lock / Screen Shut Off

Ill rate this again once its fixed.
Everything works great except for the Auto-Lock or screen timeout so it prevents the alarm from going off.
I use this on my iPod touch 4th Gen.
Ive tried using the auto-lock disable feature, turning Auto-Lock to "Never" in my ipod settings but my ipod still Auto-Locks. Not sure why. So this makes the Alarm not go off at all.
